The Yamaha VMax motorbike is known for its “brute” strength and speed. The VBoost provides even greater grunt above 6,000 RPM. To get that grunt down lower some riders have attached switches (like the TBoost or ZBoost), or other tricks to run the VBoost at only 3,000 RPM or on all the time. The offers greater choice and many other excellent features, like the Rev Limiter^# and Shift Light. Unlike other units you don't have to cut holes in your bike, cut wires or pull it apart to adjust it.

The has been developed to give you a choice of settings to suit your individual style. With 7 VBoost selections to chose from it becomes a VBoost paradise. Features

Shift Light  The now includes an adjustable Shift Light. Using the Max LED display you can choose from 6 settings, 4000 RPM to 9000 RPM (see the table above). The 7th setting is the maximum RPM indicator (based on the rating for the engine so we don't recommend using 9500 as a gear change setting - it's obvious, isn't it ?)

There is an outlet for the Shift Light at the back of the unit . This allows you to connect a Shift Light of your own and mount it in a more convenient place to see it. There is a maximum current of 0.25 Amps at about 12 Volts (about 3 Watts) to operate an LED Shift Light. You will need to make sure LED lamps have their own current limiting resistor, ask the supplier about that. If you want to run heavier loads, run a low current relay from this outlet. A suitable plug is supplied to connect your LED indicator.
You can ask us for a factory fitted upgraded relay output, to run much higher currents.

Instant VBoost ON  Switch to the 1800 RPM VBoost setting immediately by simply pressing a button while riding. Switch back to your previous setting by pressing the button again. Turning the bike off  will clear this mode as well. The 1800 indicator LED flashes while your in this mode. The Instant VBoost button attaches under the left hand switch cluster, just below the indicator switch. If your already moving, VBoost will instantly come on so WATCH OUT!!!   The 1800 setting is used for this feature to prevent VBoost at idle which is too rich to run properly.

!! Up-Gradable !!  The new allows you to upgrade the software. When we develop new or alternative features in the program we can provide our customers with a new chip to have installed by either our overseas representatives or at our own facilities. These will be listed on this site and can be ordered on the Buy Online page. No need to buy a new to get the latest improvements.

1200 RPM safety feature  prevents adjusting the while over 1200 RPM. This will discourage riders from being distracted by trying to change settings while moving - this helps avoid a dangerous situation that can lead to accidents. This feature is not active until after 90 seconds after starting the engine so you can still make adjustments if you have a high idle while the engine is cold. The OFF LED blinks during this time to let you know.

The Max rev indicator comes on over 9500 RPM.  This indicates you are at the full specification of the motor. This also acts as the front panel Shift Light indicator so you can set the maximum revs you want to go to below the normal level.

^#The VBoost Rev Limiter  is a virtual Rev Limiter that will shut off the VBoost at a selected RPM, reducing power to protect the valuable investment in your bike. Unlike other Rev Limiters it will not stress your motor by killing the ignition. The Rev Limiter can be switched OFF or set to any of 6 choices between 6500 and 9000 RPM at 500 RPM steps. This is a new, larger and more practical range selection based on feedback from our customers !

The LED indication is easily seen in broad daylight, LEDs that are not selected glow faintly in order to clearly show the chosen setting in low light conditions and at night.

Plug'n'Play

The simple plug-in installation does not require any wire cutting or drilling holes. The simply connects to the existing VBoost plug. There is also protection against incorrect wiring; reverse voltage or wrong connections will not damage the unit.The unit fits easily under the handlebar clamp with no damage to the bike and can be removed just as easily, within a few minutes.

Please note: While every effort has been made to protect the unit, misuse or incorrect installation will void the warranty. Removing or altering the connections or wiring will void the warranty. If the bike wiring does not match the SASY's connections you must contact us for advice to retain your warranty.
