The Yamaha Vmax motorbike is known for its “brute” strength and speed. The VBoost provides even greater grunt above 6,000 RPM.
To get that grunt down lower some riders have attached switches (like the TBoost or ZBoost), or other tricks to run the VBoost at only 3,000 RPM or on all the time.

Features

Shift Light  The now includes an adjustable Shift Light. Using the Max LED display you can choose from 6 settings, 4000 RPM to 9000 RPM (see the table above). The 7th setting is the maximum RPM indicator (based on the rating for the engine so we don't recommend using 9500 as a gear change setting - it's obvious, isn't it ?)

TheShift Light outlet allows you to connect your ownShift Light and mount it in a convenient place to see it. It is limited to about 3 watts - that's a very bright LED!

Instant VBoost ON  Switch to the 1800 RPM VBoost setting immediately by simply pressing a button while riding. Switch back to your previous setting by pressing the button again. If your already moving, VBoost will instantly come on so WATCH OUT!!!

!! Up-Gradable !!  Any future improvements can be easily installed with a chip replacement upgrade. Any upgrades will be posted on the Buy Online page.

1200 RPM safety feature  prevents adjusting the while over 1200 RPM. This discourages riders from being distracted by trying to change settings while moving - this avoids dangerous situations that can lead to accidents. This feature begins 90 seconds after starting the engine so you can still make adjustments if you have a high idle while the engine is cold.

The Max rev indicator comes on over 9500 RPM (factory spec maximum engine RPM).  This also acts as the front panel Shift Light indicator so you can set the maximum revs you want to go to below the factory level.

^#The VBoost Rev Limiter  is a virtual Rev Limiter that will shut off the VBoost at the selected RPM, reducing power to protect  your valuable bike. Unlike other Rev Limiters it will not stress your motor by killing the ignition. The Rev Limiter can be switched OFF or set to any of 6 choices between 6500 and 9000 RPM at 500 RPM steps.

The LED indication is easily seen in broad daylight, LEDs that are not selected glow faintly in order to clearly show the chosen setting in low light conditions and at night.

Plug'n'Play

The simple plug-in installation does not require any wire cutting or drilling holes. The simply connects to the existing VBoost plug. There is also protection against incorrect wiring. The unit fits easily under the handlebar clamp with no damage to the bike and can be removed just as easily, within minutes.

Please note: While every effort has been made to protect the unit, misuse or incorrect installation will void the warranty.
Removing or altering the connections or wiring will void the warranty. If the bike wiring does not match the SASY's
connections you must contact us for advice to retain your warranty.
